I just wanted to report that I’m still not bored. In fact, I’m busy! You should see my mini calendar on my Droid. It’s just FULL of little appointments.
Take today, for example. Today, I had to wake up at a reasonable hour (8:30), think about my life, survey my VERY messy room to decide the best approach to cleaning it. Then I spent about an hour synthesizing my research on the great city of Denver and local eateries that honor local communities (apparently they don’t really exist), and then talked on the phone about my findings, and then I hopped on the bus to go to lunch with my friend Lucie, who I haven’t seen since 2009.
After lunch at Thai Tom, I took a tour of her office and was reminded that is fun to work in an office and with people, and that I’m not ready to do that again (yet). I hopped back on the bus, got off on 15th Street and have made camp at Victrola (another stop on my quest to find “my” coffee shop). I’ve been here for about an hour, catching up on correspondance, working on the EPIP Seattle blog, Yelping, Facebooking, and now, writing here.
In about 20 minutes, I’ll go home, and start chopping items for my latest foray into pizza-making. This time, I got wise and bought dough at Trader Joes, and now must only determine which vegetables to put on top. And then I’m going to think about what to cook for the Superbowl party on Sunday afternoon (I’m dying to share my favorite lasagna recipe with Seattle), and then I will do some laundry, and then possibly go to a benefit for Haiti this evening in Ballard.
Buzzzzzz buzzzzz buzzzz! (<== that’s me! A busy bee!)
