I am a complete failure when it comes to shopping at thrift stores. I really need somebody there with me, to help me see the beauty in the old discarded piece of god-knows-what that’s on the bottom of a shelf.

Thankfully, I do have friends that hold my hand through Goodwill/Value Village adventures, which must be the ONLY reason that I cleaned the place OUT on Saturday! Here’s what i got:

• 12 mini salt and pepper shakers (1 for salt, 1 for pepper, and 10 for yet-to-be-determined creative projects).
• A slightly scuffed wooden cabinet that looks perfect after a coat of black paint
• Pyrex casserole dish with lid
• Blue serving bowl
• Soup pot with strainer included
• White colander
• A loaf pan
• Set of three mixing bowls
• Mickey Mouse cupcake tray
• Orange clothespin chip clip
• Cutting board
• Scattergories! A full complete set of six!
• Pyrex measuring cup
• Hot pink vase that perfectly matches the raspberry fizz walls

I totally cleaned up! I’m so proud of myself! And I was so inspired when I was re-painting my new television cabinet, I went ahead and painted all the rest of the mismatched wood black to match.
