putting it all into practice

This week, I’m trying to take everything I’ve learned over the last few months and put it into practice. I’ve planned out a menu and cooking schedule for the week, based on my produce delivery bin. I’ve developed a gym and yoga schedule that works around my other commitments this week, which include tutoring at Emerson and coordinating the Global Donor Conference. I have an equal number of social events (personal and professional) that will ensure I stay visible in my group of friends . I’ve done my laundry and cleaned the kitchen so that my house feels in order. And I’ve vowed to not step on the scale until it’s all over, so I can see if I can maintain a healthy lifestyle while also throwing myself into event-mode and working my butt off.

Emotionally, my goal is to keep my cool while I figure out how not to get screwed into paying rent by myself, now that my roommate has decided to move out. That’s just a little bomb that got dropped on Saturday and throws major kinks into the collective plan, which was for Kendall to move in when Leah moved out (though let’s be honest, no one expected that to happen). So it throws kinks into the next level of the plan, which was to simply not have to deal with this for four more months.
