Is anyone watching “The Pacific“? I watched Band of Brothers in like, 14 hours straight, so I’m expecting good things. It’s HBO after all, have they ever let you down?

sarah, I listened to a long interview w/Hugh Ambrose who wrote the companion ? book to the series. I had thought he was the author of it, but no. He was talking about what if Japan had won the war–and I got the impression that was the story. He spoke so intimately of the characters, and about what it would have seemed like to not really be able to know what’s going on or if anyone knows what they’re doing (I made that last part up). No wires and no wireless.
