My event planning experience can be traced back to my 7th grade Valentine’s Day party, where I believe I learned my first lesson in “how to build a guest list”: there is no room for exclusivity in middle school. Invite everyone or invite phone calls from angry parents.
Between 1996 and 2005, my event resume is packed with large-scale family jeopardy matches, homecomings, winter balls and Prom, the elaborate college house party or two, and always always an epic birthday bash.
After graduating from the University of Puget Sound, I became the intern, Grants Administrator, and finally, Grants Manager at the Social Justice Fund NW, a progressive Foundation that raises money from individual members, pools it together, and uses a committee-driven process to distribute grants to grassroots social change organizations.
I supplement my work with a healthy doses of the following: cooking, yoga, social media, design, philanthropy, writing and blogging. I’m never one to turn down an invitation and will always take an opportunity to try something new.
I am uniquely positioned in the Seattle community to help you plan and host a successful fundraiser, party, meeting or conference. Please click on the Events page for examples of my work and click on Contact to get in touch!
